The press service of the Cherkasy Eparchy announced that Metropolitan Theodosiy (Snigirev) of Cherkasy and Kaniv of the UOC was urgently hospitalized due to a deterioration in health – the bishop suffered from a hypertensive crisis.

"We ask all Orthodox Christians for fervent prayers for the health of Metropolitan Theodosiy!" wrote the Cherkasy Eparchy.

As reported by the UOJ, on February 22, 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted another search in the house of the metropolitan. The liturgy in the bishop's home church was disrupted. The hierarch suffered a heart attack.
