The fire, which occurred on 27 February in Odesa on the territory of the temple of Archangel Michael and St. Luke, was caused not by faulty wiring but by an arsonist, according to a parishioner of the temple Varvara Borovets, whose video was published by the head of the Rivne branch of "Myriany" Tetiana Tsaruk.

The offender's actions were recorded by CCTV cameras.
