The “hierarchs” of the OCU are not afraid of Russia, because the Ukrainians will give their soul and body for freedom, says the Address of the OCU Synod dated April 19, 2021.

The OCU worried about the accumulation of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border. At the same time, the leaders of the non-canonical structure stated that they are not afraid of the Russian authorities.

According to Epiphany Dumenko and his associates, “we will lay down our soul and body for our freedom” is not just a phrase from the National Anthem of Ukraine. “This conviction is one of the key features of the Ukrainian political nation,” the OCU clerics believe.

The members of the OCU Synod threatened the authorities of the Russian Federation and “those who are awaiting the arrival of Putin in Ukraine” with God's wrath and also thanked the allies, “the countries of the free world”.

As reported earlier, the UOC Chancellor called to prevent an escalation in the Donbass by all means.
