Zelensky congratulates Muslims on the beginning of Ramadan

In his evening address on March 10, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Muslims on the start of the sacred month of Ramadan. The video was published by the Office of the President.
"Now begins the sacred month of Ramadan for Muslims in Ukraine and around the world," said Volodymyr Zelensky. "This year, unfortunately, Ramadan is overshadowed by war and ongoing suffering."
The President wished that during this month, everyone would come closer to a fair and just peace, not only for Ukraine but for all peoples affected by war. According to him, "humanity is capable of achieving such unity that justice will safeguard life from wars."
"Thanks to everyone who helps Ukraine and Ukrainians! Thanks to everyone who defends life and justice! Ramadan Mubarak! Glory to Ukraine!" concluded Zelensky.
As the UOJ reported, on the first night of Ramadan, many Palestinians were not allowed into the mosque in Jerusalem.
