On March 12, 2024, Member of Parliament Artem Dmitruk appealed to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, regarding the assault by supporters of the OCU on the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the UOC in the city of Kamin-Kashyrsky in Volyn.

"I appeal to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko: right now, hundreds of raiders from the OCU organization are trying to seize the shrine of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Do not allow lawlessness and bloodshed, you have the power to prevent it!" the deputy wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also expressed support for "all those firmly standing in the Orthodox faith" and wished "to enlighten the persecutors".

As reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists, since morning, raiders from the OCU in Kamin-Kashyrsky have been making continuous attempts to seize the Orthodox church. They broke down the gates, which were soon taken by the police for examination, and attempted to break through to the church. However, hundreds of believers stood in defense of their sanctuary with prayers.
