The Sixth Appellate Court upheld the decision of the Cherkasy District Administrative Court dated September 22, 2023, according to which the Cherkasy Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church lost the land plot under the St. Michael's Cathedral in the city of Cherkasy. This was reported by ZMI.sk.ua.

An 8.7-hectare land plot of the Soborny park will be allocated for the creation of a city park and other public needs. The land under the cathedral and utility buildings remains in the possession of the Cherkasy Eparchy.

As reported by the UOJ, the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit against the UOC and the Kaniv City Council to "return" to the state a land plot of almost 4200 square meters, on which the Assumption Cathedral in Kaniv is located.
