Primate of UOC: Cease fire at least on Easter days

On the eve of the bright Resurrection of Christ, the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, addressed the participants in the armed conflict in the East of the country. Vladyka's video message was published by the UOC Information and Education Department.
“These holy days I would like to appeal to those people who have an influence on the armed confrontation in the East of our state of Ukraine, in the Donbass – for Christ's sake, cease fire at least on Easter days!” truce.
His Beatitude also called for the release of all the captives, so that "they could meet this great bright day of Easter in their families".
"May the Lord help us all!" concluded His Beatitude Metropolitan.
As reported, on Holy Tuesday of the Holy Week, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry addressed the Paschal Message to archpastors, pastors, monastics, and all the faithful children of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
