On April 15, 2024, the Sosnivka District Court of Cherkasy rejected the motion of one of the "victims" to recuse the judge in the case of Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv. The court session video was published by the Telegram channel of the Cherkasy Eparchy.

The court heard from the "victim, a chaplain of the OCU," who expressed dissatisfaction with the current judge for leaving the bishop under house arrest instead of placing him in custody, as demanded by the prosecution. He mentioned that Metropolitan Theodosiy continues to record various videos criticizing the authorities, which, in his opinion, is unacceptable.

The defense team of the UOC hierarch drew the court's attention to the fact that this was not the first attempt to replace the judge who did not satisfy the prosecution's motions, and they called such actions as pressuring the court.

After hearing both sides, the judge rejected the motion of the "victim" to recuse the judge in the metropolitan's case.

As reported by the UOJ, on March 14, 2024, the Sosnivka District Court of Cherkasy rejected the prosecution's motion to detain Metropolitan Theodosiy. On April 5, the court extended the bishop's house arrest for 60 days. One of the "victims" demanded stricter preventive measures and the recusal of the judge, but the court did not accept his arguments.
