On May 17, 2021, a delegation of the Vinnytsia Eparchy of the UOC, headed by the ruling bishop Metropolitan Varsonofy (Stoliar) of Vinnytsia and Bar, went on a visit to the Serbian Orthodox Church, reports the official website of the eparchy.
The pilgrimage with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine began from the city of Sremski-Karlovtsi in the autonomous region of Vojvodina, where Metropolitan Varsonofy, together with the clergy of the eparchy, served an evening service at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
Metropolitan Varsonofy and the pilgrims were met by Bishop Basil (Vadic) of Srem, who spoke about his active support of the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, with whom he is personally acquainted. “The bishops venerated local shrines and exchanged gifts; Metropolitan Varsonofy also left a memorial note in the altar Gospel of the cathedral,” the eparchy’s website reports.
As reported, the delegation of the UOC went on a pilgrimage to the monasteries of Egypt.
