His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia expressed his words of support for the UOC during a meeting with a delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Belgrade, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, Deputy Head of the Department for External Church Relations (DECR) of the UOC, wrote on his Telegram channel.
“We had a very warm and amicable meeting with Patriarch Porfirije. The Serbian Church is firmly on the side of the canonical order and support of the UOC,” wrote the UOC spokesman. He emphasized that Patriarch Porfirije himself made a deep impression of an ascetic person, educated and simple in communication. “He is a worthy successor to the Patriarchs Irinej and Pavel. I am happy for the Serbian Church that the Lord has given such a Primate to Her!” Fr Nikolai summed up.
As the UOJ reported, a delegation of the UOC, headed by Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich), met with the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.
