In his Easter message, the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern American and New York, urged the clergy and flock to intensify prayers for peace in Ukraine, the ROCOR website reports.

Metropolitan Nicholas stressed the need to warmly welcome refugees, "including clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church".

"Celebrating the 'Saving Pascha of God', let us continue our efforts to collect material and humanitarian aid for those who are suffering now, fervently praying for peace in the Holy Land and the territory of Ukraine," he urged.

As the UOJ reported, the ROCOR hierarch, Metropolitan Mark, stated that devil gains the greatest victory in the "Ukrainian" war.
