A Roman Catholic priest in Poland, along with representatives of Protestant churches, took part in an ecumenical ceremony to “bless” same-sex couples.

On May 17, during an ecumenical service at an Evangelical-Reformed parish in Warsaw, attended by Michał Jabłoński, pastor of the Evangelical-Reformed parish, Halina Radacz, “pastor” from the Evangelical Church of the “Augsburg Confession” and Catholic priest Adam Swieżynski, a common prayer was held, followed by a “blessing” of same-sex couples, according to the Polish publication Wprost.

The ceremony of "blessing" was conducted on the occasion of the "International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia".

Wprost wrote that "the first blessing of a same-sex couple in the Church in Poland is a breakthrough for LGBT+ Catholics."

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a transvestite performed at a children's festival organized by Pope Francis.
