The words of support for the UOC from Patriarch John of Antioch look like an act of confession, said the head of the Representation of the UOC to European International Organizations, Bishop Victor (Kotsaba) of Baryshevka, on his Telegram channel.

His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East conveyed the words of love and respect to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry and told the delegation of the UOC: “We are always with you.”

“These are very important words, because under the conditions of extreme pressure from the Phanar’s “partners” on other Local Orthodox Churches, the support of Patriarch John looks like an act of confession,” Bishop Victor commented on the words of the Patriarch of Antioch.

The UOC hierarch expressed the hope that God will help Patriarch John to adhere to the correct position in the future.

“Today the Patriarch said what his heart told him, so we hope that these words of His Beatitude will be repeated more than once. We sincerely wish many and blessed years of life to the Primate of the Church of Antioch. We humbly pray that the Lord will help him to stand in his position. After all, only those who have endured to the end will be saved!” the bishop emphasized.

As reported, Metropolitan Anthony, the UOC Chancellor, has met with Patriarch John X.
