A message on the website of the President of Ukraine notes that during a meeting with Patriarch Bartholomew, Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the head of the Phanar for involving countries worldwide in participating in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.

Zelensky also wrote on his Telegram channel, "We appreciate the efforts of His All Holiness to promote the development and strengthening of Orthodoxy in Ukraine and the dialogue with the clergy of the world and partner countries in this regard."

Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to lawyer Robert Amsterdam, after the summit in Switzerland, the authorities would intensify repression against the UOC.
