Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Ukrainian Muslims on the holiday of Kurban Bayram, according to the website of the President of Ukraine.

In his congratulatory message, the President highlighted the contribution of Muslims to the defense of the Motherland. "Today, during the most challenging trials for our state, Muslims, side by side with Christians and representatives of other faiths, are doing everything possible to defend Ukraine and liberate it from the enemy, as well as praying for victory and peace in our homeland," wrote the President.

"May the Almighty help us in fulfilling our bright plans, protect us from life's troubles, and safeguard Ukraine and its people," wished the head of state.

In his speech, Zelensky mentioned the Crimean Tatars and their contribution to the defense of Ukraine.

"They fight together with all Ukrainians for their land and the safety of their children. Their faith and values inspire all of us to fight for freedom, particularly for our Crimea, free from the occupier. Your dedication and compassion not only uphold the spirit of the nation but also serve as an example for all of us," emphasized the President.

As reported, the mufti of Muslims in Crimea, Emirali Ablayev, who headed the "spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol" created in Russia, was sentenced by a Ukrainian court to 12 years in prison in absentia.
