Romanian priests participate in celebrations at UOC monastery in Bukovyna

Priests from the Ukrainian and Romanian Orthodox Churches visited the UOC Convent in honor of the Holy Great Martyr John of Suceava in the village of Krasnoilsk, Chernivtsi region, for the patronal feast. According to the Facebook page of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese, the liturgy on June 15, 2024, was celebrated by Metropolitans Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets, and Theodore of Kamianets-Podilskyi and Horodok.

The metropolitans were joined by priests from the Romanian Orthodox Church and clergy of the Chernivtsi Diocese.

Also attending the celebration were abbesses and sisters from Romanian and Bukovynian nunneries, who prayed together with the abbess of the convent, Mother Ioanna (Grozavu).

During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, for deliverance from the enemy, and for God's blessing on people of good will who help those in need.

At the end of the service, Metropolitan Sergiy congratulated the clergy and believers on the patronal feast.

As reported by the UOJ, the Romanian Orthodox Church delivered the Holy Fire to the Chernivtsi and Mukachevo Dioceses.
