On June 19, 2024, the Sloviansk City District Court in the Donetsk region will hold a preparatory court hearing to review the indictment against the abbot of the Holy Assumption Sviatohirsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk. According to the monastery's press service, this is the first session in which the court will consider the case on its merits.

The session will begin at 11:40.

The court will also decide on the further preventive measure for the Metropolitan, as his 60-day detention in a pre-trial detention center, appointed by the October District Court in Dnipro on April 25, expires on June 22.

"Dear brothers and sisters, we ask for your holy prayers!" the statement reads.

The brethren also inform that, according to the court's decision, cases are mainly considered remotely by the Sloviansk City District Court. Therefore, those wishing to support the Metropolitan, unfortunately, will not be able to attend this session.

As reported by the UOJ, the materials in the case of Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk have been submitted to the court.
