Dumenko instructs his assistants how to counteract "pressure of the UOC"

On June 22, 2021, the head of the OCU, Sergei (Epiphany) Dumenko, discussed with his henchmen from the diocesan administrations the issues of "countering illegal pressure from the Moscow Patriarchate." This was reported by the press service of the OCU.

The meeting was attended by representatives of diocesan administrations and heads of legal departments of dioceses of the OCU, as well as "hierarchs" Simeon (Shostatsky), Eustratiy Zoria and Pavel Yuristy.

“The Primate of the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church was accompanied by legal adviser Maryan Martyniuk. During the conversation, issues of improving interaction, systematization and exchange of relevant information, regulation of statutory documentation and countering illegal pressure from the Moscow Patriarchate were discussed,” the OCU website says.

We will remind, earlier the synod of the OCU announced regular seizures by the UOC. Afterwards, the head of the Legal Department of the UOC, Archpriest Alexander Bakhov, gave his assessment of such statements.
