On June 27, 2024, a session of the Solomianskyi Court in Kyiv took place, during which the investigator of the SBU requested to extend the preventive measure for Metropolitan Luke of Zaporizhzhia and Melitopol in the form of house arrest. The bishop announced this on his Telegram channel.

The UOC hierarch will remain under nighttime house arrest for another month.

"God bless all of you for your prayers to the Lord, so necessary during the trials sent to each of us and to me personally today!" wrote Metropolitan Luke. "For my part, I humbly accept the court's decision to extend the preventive measure by one month."

The ruling bishop of Zaporizhzhia invited believers who pray and care about him to the services, "to share with all of you – with the clergy and the flock entrusted to me, the joy of Eucharistic communion!"

As the UOJ reported, on May 7, the judge of the Solomianskyi District Court in Kyiv selected the preventive measure of nighttime house arrest until July 1 and the wearing of an electronic monitoring device for Metropolitan Luke.
