OCU rep says what those who wanted to observe Peter and Paul Fast should do

Saints Peter and Paul, the Chief Apostles

On his Facebook page, OCU "priest" Roman Hryshchuk wrote that this year his structure did not cancel the Peter and Paul Fast but offered an alternative.

"The OCU did not cancel the Peter and Paul Fast but, on the contrary, offered an option for those who wish to observe it this year!" he wrote, reiterating the official announcement from the religious structure of Dumenko, that the OCU's "hierarchy" suggests those who wish to fast choose another period after the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul.

As the UOJ reported, earlier the OCU mentioned that this year there is an exceptional situation with the Peter and Paul Fast due to date shifts caused by the transition to the New Julian calendar.
