The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has added the tradition of bell ringing in Lviv to the National List of Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine, according to the agency's announcement.

Among the melodies included in the list of intangible heritage are:

"The uniqueness of the bell-ringing tradition in Lviv lies in its social and interfaith harmony, as bell-ringers adhere to the principle of equality and perform their duties across different denominations, fostering a tolerant environment," the Ministry of Culture stated.

As the UOJ previously reported, the authorities in Lviv had earlier taken away the cathedral from the UOC. During the Liturgy, parishioners were pushed out of the church so that a "commission" could work inside.
