On July 21, 2021, the Lutsk City District Court opened a criminal case on the fact of telephone threats to the cleric of the Volyn Eparchy, Archpriest Vladimir Meles and members of his family, reports the press service of the Volyn Eparchy.
On July 8, 2021, Archpriest Vladimir Meles and his wife received phone calls with threats demanding to vacate the church house in the village of Sadiv, where the priest lives with his family and minor grandson, until July 12. Otherwise, "good people from good places" will start "acting". The priest recorded the conversations and turned to the police.
The Volyn Eparchy authorities ask everyone who recognized the criminal’s voice to report for a fee to the police or to the Volyn Eparchial Administration of the UOC.
After the seizure of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Sadiv in February 2019, the family of the UOC cleric, Archpriest Vladimir Meles, is regularly attacked by supporters of the OCU.
Activists are trying to evict Father Vladimir from the church house where he resides and is officially registered with his wife and minor children. At various times, the 16-year-old son of the clergyman and a minor grandson suffered from their actions.
As reported, Archpriest Vladimir Meles disputes the actions of the OCU community, which is trying to evict his family from the church house in the village of Sadiv, Volyn region.
