KDAiS publishes book "The Ukrainian Orthodox Church: Milestones of History"

On July 22, 2021, the book "The Ukrainian Orthodox Church: Milestones of History", prepared by the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary (KDAiS), was published, reports the KDAiS press service.

The book was prepared for publication by the Publishing Department of the UOC with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, with the assistance of the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, who is also the chairman of the editorial board of the book.

The members of the editorial board of the book are the rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary, Professor Bishop Sylvester of Belogorodka, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Theological Work, Professor Vladimir Burega, Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor Archpriest Vasily Yakovchuk and teacher Hieromonk Mitrofan (Bozhko).

The book is a short outline of the history of the Orthodox Church on the territory of Ukraine. It covers events from the beginning of Christianity in Rusэ to the present day.

The events of church history are depicted against the background of social, political and cultural life both within the country and on the international arena in the respective eras.

The publication is decorated with numerous illustrations and is intended for a wide range of readers.

Especially for this book, maps of the Kyiv Metropolis in different periods of its existence were prepared.

As reported, the KDAiS continues to accept documents for full-time and correspondence departments.
