UOC hands over more than a million UAH to Sumy children's hospital

On 13 August 2024, there was the final act of the Thirteenth Charity Campaign ‘For the Bright Day – Bright Deeds’, which was held by the Sumy Eparchy of the UOC in support of oncologically ill children of the Sumy region, as reported by the press service of the eparchy.
Metropolitan Eulogy of Sumy and Akhtyrka donated the expensive, a platelet shaker-incubator, to the Department of Oncohaematology at the SRCCH. Together with the device, the hospital received medicines that allow performing therapy in accordance with European protocols of treatment of children with cancer for a total amount of more than one million hryvnias.
Liana Nikitenko, head of the Department of Oncohaematology, thanked Metropolitan Eulogy, all clergymen and believers of the Sumy Eparchy for “significant charitable contribution to the treatment of the Sumy region children”.
Metropolitan Eulogy told the patients of the hospital about the daily church prayer for children with cancer, which is performed by priests. Each little patient was given a sweet gift, an icon of the Mother of God, blessed and wished recovery.
As reported by the UOJ, the National Council denied registration to a church media outlet of the Sumy Eparchy.
