On August 17 the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will mark the 7th anniversary of the enthronement of Metropolitan Onuphry to the Holy See of the Kyiv Metropolitans with Divine Liturgy at the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the Information Center of the UOC reports on its Fb page.

The episcopate, clergy and believers will arrive at the divine service in Kyiv, officiated by the Primate of the UOC. The Divine Liturgy on the square in front of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra begins at 07:30.

The Information Center recalls that in February 2014, during the grave illness of the then Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir, the Holy Synod appointed Metropolitan Onuphry locum tenens of the Kyiv See. On August 13, he was elected the 122nd Metropolitan of Kyiv; his enthronement took place on August 17.

As the UOJ reported, the Primate of the UOC officiated the liturgy at the convent on St. Anna Hill.
