Festive services were held at the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra on September 9-10, in honor of the feast day of Saint Job of Pochaiv, as reported by the monastery's press service.

The Vespers on the eve of the feast and the Liturgy on the day of the celebration were led by Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv, with the participation of numerous bishops and clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Thousands of faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church gathered in the holy monastery to honor the saint during the services.

On September 9, solemn services were held in the Transfiguration Cathedral of the Lavra, during which all believers had the opportunity to venerate the holy relics of Saint Job with prayer.

The festive Liturgy was also served in the Transfiguration Church, with the monastic and brotherly choirs of the Lavra performing the liturgical hymns.

After the service, a traditional cross procession took place, during which the relics of Saint Job were carried to the Cave Church, where they are always kept.

At the conclusion of the services, the abbot of Pochaiv Lavra, Metropolitan Volodymyr, thanked the hierarchs, the monastic brethren, the clergy, and the faithful for their shared prayers and congratulated everyone on the feast day of Saint Job.

As a reminder, on September 10, the Church commemorates the uncovering of the honorable relics of Saint Job, Hegumen and Wonderworker of Pochaiv.

"For 373 years, faithful Christians have been able to approach the holy relics of God's saint Job, which rest in the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra, bearing clear testimony to the truth of the words of the True God, who said: 'I will honor those who honor Me' (1 Sam. 2:30). From childhood, Saint Job demonstrated a special zeal for asceticism for the sake of salvation, love for God, and love for his neighbor. Thanks to his fervor and devotion to God, Saint Job received great spiritual gifts at a young age, by which he glorified the Triune God and guided all who came to him for counsel onto the right path that leads to salvation," the message reads.

As reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ), the Ministry of Culture is demanding that Pochaiv Lavra return the icon of Saint Job to the museum.
