In the Bukovynian village of Zeleniv, raiders from the OCU (Orthodox Church of Ukraine) seized the UOC (Ukrainian Orthodox Church) Church of Archangel Michael on September 10, according to a post by the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese on their Facebook page.

"The desecration of the holy site was committed on the eve of the Beheading of John the Baptist," the post states. "Supporters of the OCU used a grinder to cut the locks on the church doors and broke a window through which they climbed in and out."

According to the Orthodox believers of Bukovyna, such actions resemble barbarism rather than Christianity.

As the UOJ previously reported, in Boyarka, the police assisted OCU raiders in breaking into a UOC church.
