Representatives of the "National Corps" promised to protect the OCU from provocations during the visit of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople to Ukraine. A statement about this was posted on the Telegram channel of the National Corps and the right-wing radical organization "Centuria".
Representatives of the National Corps claim that they have information according to which the public organizations “Miriane” and “Patriots for Life” “are planning to arrange provocations” during the liturgy, which will be held on August 22 by Patriarch Bartholomew and Epiphany Dumenko on the territory of the St. Sophia Cathedral of Kyiv.
The National Corps said that it welcomes the arrival of the Phanar head in Kyiv and warned "against any actions" against the OCU of those who do not welcome this visit.
The organization stated that those who consider themselves to be the "Moscow eparchy" and various "pseudo-social movements" are "saboteurs" against whom the National Corps will "resolutely fight".
“We are monitoring the situation and are ready to come to the defence of the OCU at any time,” the National Corps said in a statement.
The radical organization "Centuria" also said that, according to the information they have, "Patriots for Life" "lost their sense of reality" and are planning to arrange provocations against the arrival of Patriarch Bartholomew, the peak of which will be at the joint liturgy of the Phanar head and Dumenko on August 22.
"Centuria" said that they would oppose the "vata scums" at the "cat and flower exhibitions", and if the "vata heads" have an intention to attack the OCU believers, "they will receive a decisive response".
As reported, the Phanar head will be guarded by the special services of Turkey and the United States, and pro-OCU media ascribe plans to an assassination attempt on him to the NGO “Miriane”.
