On 11 September 2024, the Feast of the Beheading of John the Baptist, St Michael’s Church in Letychiv was visited for the first time in 33 years of Ukraine’s independence by a commission from the Department of Information, Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Administration, reports the eparchy's press service.

The primary purpose of the visit was to examine the church, which is an architectural monument from the 15th-16th centuries. The parish priest and community warmly welcomed the commission representatives, sharing the rich history of the shrine and the stages of its restoration.

The eparchy highlighted that the church's restoration began in 2000 due to the efforts of the local religious community and its late rector, Archpriest Mykhailo Stetsko. On 12 May 2009, the cathedral was consecrated by His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan) of Kyiv and All Ukraine, with the participation of UOC hierarchs.

The community expressed hope for further support from the RMA specialists in the preservation of this historical temple.

As previously reported by the UOJ, a delegation from the Italian Republic visited the UOC Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa to check the progress of its restoration efforts.
