On August 23, 2021, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, came to the hundreds of laypeople of the UOC who’d gathered for a prayer standing at the residence of the head of Phanar in Kyiv, the UOJ correspondent reports.
The Primate of the UOC blessed the believers and clergy, who demand a meeting with Patriarch Bartholomew in order to tell him about the real situation in Ukrainian Orthodoxy after the of the Tomos to the OCU.
The UOJ correspondent reports that hundreds of believers, whom the police did not allow directly to the building where Patriarch Bartholomew is located on Lipskaya Street, stand in the park near the monument to Vatutin. They hold posters with a call to protect Orthodoxy from the "Bartholomew schisms", read akathists and sing prayers.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that believers are holding a prayer standing at the residence of the head of the Phanar in Kyiv.
