You cannot be near those from whose decisions ordinary people in Ukraine, who want to preserve the faith of their ancestors, have endured so much evil and trouble, said the Chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Answering the question of whether the refusal of the clergy to participate in the events related to the visit of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople remains in force, the hierarch recalled that it is the Phanar and its head who are largely responsible for violating the rights of UOC believers.

“In this context, we stated that we would not be able to take part in the planned event if the delegation of the Patriarchate of Constantinople was present there, at the St. Sophia of Kyiv because it is the Phanar and its head who are largely responsible for violations of the rights of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. And how can you be near those from whose decisions ordinary people, who want to preserve the faith of their forefathers, have endured so much evil and trouble? " emphasized the metropolitan.

Also, the UOC Chancellor said why there are no statements from the Phanar on the raiding of the OCU.
