In Kremenets, Ternopil region, Ukrainian Orthodox Church priest Father Ioann Polishchuk was detained by representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) as part of forced mobilization, reports Father Vasyl Maksymyshynets on his Instagram.
Father Ioann had arrived in Kremenets from Germany, where he had spent more than a year providing spiritual care to UOC parishioners. According to the latest information, he is being sent to a training center in the Rivne region.
The TRC denied him medical assistance despite his high blood pressure. His current condition is unknown.
As reported by the UOJ, on September 22, after the Divine Liturgy, TRC representatives in Transcarpathia abducted two UOC priests. After hundreds of parishioners gathered outside the TRC, the clerics were released.
