The organizers of the gay pride parade in Kyiv, which is planned to be held on September 19, published on Twitter the manifesto of the “Equality March 2021” with eight demands to the Ukrainian authorities and society, among which is the recognition of same-sex marriages.

First of all, activists demand the adoption of bill # 5488, which condemns discrimination, including on the basis of homophobia, transphobia and other forms of intolerance.

Requirements relate to the reform of the law enforcement system, countering domestic violence, combating bullying and improving the health care system.

Under the infographic with the manifesto, the KyivPride organizers marked the official pages of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskyy, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmitry Razumkov and Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.

As previously reported, Zelensky and Biden agreed to step up the fight for LGBT rights in Ukraine.
