Human rights advocate and American lawyer for the UOC, Robert Amsterdam, stated once again on social media platform X that "the only truly independent Church in Ukraine is the Ukrainian Orthodox Church".

The lawyer clarified that the OCU is a political project.

"The Orthodox Church of Ukraine is a government-sponsored political project. It is heavily dependent on the Ukrainian state for the violent seizures going on as in Cherkasy!" added Amsterdam.

As the UOJ wrote, Amsterdam urged Ukraine's partners to condemn the seizure of the UOC cathedral in Cherkasy.
