OCU and the Youth Nationalist Congress (YNC) signed a memorandum of cooperation.
On September 23, 2021, Epiphany received young followers of the Bandera ideology at his residence, according to the press service of the OCU.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the OCU department for interaction with youth-patriotic organizations "Archbishop" Nestor Pysyk and ex-head of the YNC Oleg Vitvitsky.
“The Primate of the Local Ukrainian Orthodox Church (stylistics of the author – Ed.) discussed with the guests the issues of cooperation in the field of spiritual, moral and patriotic education of youth,” the OCU explained.
In conclusion, Nestor Pysyk and the current head of the YNC Sergei Relik signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Youth Nationalist Congress is an organization based on the OUN (revolutionary) ideology and propagandizing the ideas of Ukrainian nationalism among the youth. In 2020, it entered the list of youth organizations to be funded by the state budget.
The UOJ also wrote that the “priests” of the OCU sang “our father Bandera” in Ivano-Frankivsk.
