On Facebook, a representative of the OCU, Serhiy Dolmanov, commented on the article about "The ROC destroying the unique decoration of the OCU temple in Mariupol", suggesting his own response to such actions. "This is an example and a lesson for us about what should be done with the heritage of the Russian patriarchate in Ukraine (clearly referring to the UOC – Ed.)," he stated.
"Their propaganda books should be burned, and, in principle, anything 'by the blessing' of Gundiayev and Berezovsky should go into the fire. So that not even a trace remains! The icons of their bloody tsars – into the fire along with the books. Also, everything in the gibberish of the Moscow version should go into the fire," he suggests.
Dolmanov also calls for re-consecrating the churches seized from the UOC – "returned to Ukraine" – in honour of "real saints, not politicized 'ascetics' like Alexander Nevsky".
On his Facebook page, Serhiy Dolmanov states that he lives in Kramatorsk and occasionally serves as an "altar server" at the Ascension parish of the OCU in the village of Druzhkivka.
As reported by the UOJ, the OCU "Synod" is disappointed at the UOC's unwillingness to engage in dialogue.
