On October 14, 2021, the Holy Intercession community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Godomychi, which lost its church due to the raiding of the OCU, celebrated its patronal day in a temporary church, reports the official website of the Volyn Eparchy of the UOC.

The festive Divine Liturgy was officiated by the rector of the parish, Father John Shkabura, concelebrated by the priests of the eparchy. During the service, a prayer was offered for peace in Ukraine and the unity of Orthodox Christians. The service was followed by a religious procession.

At the end of the celebrations, the pupils of the Sunday school of the Holy Intercession parish of the village of Hodomichi congratulated the clergy and believers on the feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. The rector, Father John, thanked the priesthood council, all parishioners, and guests for their support and shared joy of the feast.

He also separately thanked those benefactors who helped the community that had lost its church to equip a temporary temple since the first time after the raider seizure the believers of the UOC in Godomychi had to gather for prayer in the house of one of the parishioners. Subsequently, the Holy Intercession community decided to build a new church to replace the one seized by the OCU activists.

As reported, those who remain faithful to the Church will achieve salvation, said the rector of the UOC church in Godomychi.
