Horoshivtsi: UOC community building new church to replace seized one by OCU

Affected by the raider seizure by OCU activists, the Holy Dormition community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Horoshivtsi of the Zastavnа Deanery of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy began construction of a new church to replace the seized one, reports the community on its Facebook page.

Now, on the site allocated for the new church, they began to dig trenches and lay the foundation. “By the grace of God, we are beginning to lay the foundation for the construction of a new stone church in honour of the Dormition of the Mother of God in the village of Horoshivtsi of the Zastavna Deanery,” the UOC community said.

The believers of the village ask for help in the construction of the temple: financial, physical, with construction materials, repost publications, etc. They posted donation details:

As reported, Metropolitan Melety visited the persecuted Holy Dormition community of the UOC in Horoshivtsi.
