On January 1, the day of the repose of St. Amphilochius of Pochaiv, the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra hosted celebrations dedicated to his memory. Thousands of UOC faithful gathered at the Lavra to participate in the Divine Liturgy in the Transfiguration Cathedral and the procession. The event was shared in a video posted by the Pochaiv Listok Telegram channel and Mir.
As the UOJ previously reported, following tradition, on December 29, after festive Vespers, the relics of St. Amphilochius were transferred from the Cave Church of St. Job to the Transfiguration Cathedral. That evening, an akathist to the saint was also performed in the cathedral.
