Zelensky appoints Yurash as Ukraine's ambassador to Vatican

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has appointed Andrei Yurash Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Vatican, according to decree No. 654/2021 of December 14, 2021, published on the official website of the President's Office.
Prior to this appointment, Yurash headed the Department for Ethno-National Policy and Religions of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, earlier – the Department for Religions and Nationalities of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. Yurash was one of the main actors in the OCU project, actively supports the policy of seizing temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and illegal re-registration of communities.
As reported, Dumenko awarded Yurash and his team for their help in receiving the Tomos.
