Priest Alexei Shliapin of the Russian Orthodox Church, who engaged in a debate with Patriarch Kirill during a clergy meeting of the Moscow Metropolis, has had his home searched, Novaya Gazeta Europe reports, citing its sources. It is also claimed that Shliapin’s website stopped functioning on February 12.
As a reminder, on February 11, in response to Priest Alexei Shliapin’s remark that the Church’s duty is not to promote patriotic narratives but to lead people to the Kingdom of God, the Patriarch advised him to sit down and think about what he had just "blurted out."
