On February 24, 2025, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, attended a prayer service at the Holy Family UGCC Cathedral in London during an ecumenical service marking the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
In addition to the UGCC bishop, the prayer service was attended by Sarah Mullally, the Anglican Bishop of London, and Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg.
After the service, Zaluzhny delivered a speech from the church pulpit, stating that Ukraine needs Britain's military support to continue the war.
"Ukraine did not choose war, but we choose to fight to protect our homes, families, and future. This war is not over. Ukraine will not surrender. With your help, we will win," he declared.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Zaluzhny had shared a story about a fortune teller predicting the war with Russia for him.
