On December 25, 2021, on the feast day of St. Spyridon of Trimythous, Metropolitan Nikodim of Zhytomyr and Novohrad-Volynsky performed the rite of consecration of the Church of the "Quick to Hearken" Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Levkiv, Zhytomyr region, UOJ reports.
The new temple of the UOC in the village of Levkiv was built to replace the Holy Transfiguration Church seized by the raiders of the OCU.
The church community did not disintegrate and remained faithful to the canonical UOC.

The head of the Zhytomyr Eparchy was concelebrated by the dean of the Zhytomyr region, Archpriest Dimitry Novitsky, the parish rector and clergy of the Zhytomyr Eparchy.
After the service, Metropolitan Nikodim congratulated the rector of the church, the clergy and believers on the outstanding event – the consecration of the new church.
As previously reported, on March 2, 2019, in the village of Levkiv, a meeting of the territorial community was held to "transfer" the Holy Transfiguration Church of the UOC to the OCU.
