Eustratiy Zoria translated into the field of politics the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on the creation of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa and the admission of 102 clerics of the Alexandrian Patriarchate who did not agree with the recognition of the OCU and do not want to enter into communion with schismatics. On his Facebook page, the spokesperson for the OCU said that the decision of the ROC Synod is "the revenge of the Kremlin and its special services" to Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria for concelebrating with Epiphany Dumenko.
Zoria stated that he was confident that the priests of the Alexandrian Church in Africa, unwilling to communicate with schismatics, were bribed by the special services of the Russian Federation, and "the purchased loyalty will end as soon as the money runs out".
The spokesperson of the OCU called on the supporters of his religious organization to continue the struggle against the Russian Church. "The Kremlin Patriarchate is ‘Carthage, which must be destroyed’. The Local Russian Church, in order to remain Orthodox and not finally turn into a third-Rome sect, must get rid of this geek born by Stalin and had by the Сhekists," resumed Zoria.
As reported, the ROC formed the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa and received 102 clerics of the Alexandrian Patriarchate from eight African countries into its jurisdiction at their request.
