On March 8, 2025, the first Divine Liturgy of the newly established UOC community took place at the Holy Trinity Church in Brandenburg, according to a Facebook post by "Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Berlin."

The service was led by Archpriest Dmytro Dziadevych, concelebrated by Priest Heorhiy Bazhanskyi and Deacon Mykhailo Katsko.

The publication stated that "this event became a milestone for the Orthodox community of the city, confirming its spiritual growth and desire for communal prayer."

After the Liturgy, the clergy and parishioners gathered for fellowship, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to pray together and hope for the further development of Orthodox life in Brandenburg.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to German theology professor Thomas Bremer, the majority of Ukrainian refugees abroad belong to the UOC.
