The head of the OCU Epifaniy Dumenko said that the transition of communities to the schismatic structure cannot do without the support of the Ukrainian authorities and the police, as well as the need for judicial reform, reports "RBC-Ukraine".
"We do not need any open assistance from the Ukrainian authorities, but there should be support for this process within the framework defined by law," he said.
"Metropolitan" Epifaniy complained that today this support is small.
"For example, it concerns the police which sometimes are not willing to participate directly, to protect the legal rights of the community, do not understand these processes, sometimes can even openly protect the interests of Moscow supporters," the head of the OCU said.
According to him, the country needs a reform of the judicial system so that a "new wave of transitions" can emerge.
"It is necessary to implement judicial reform in full so that the courts are honest. Because there are communities that have already gone through several rounds: their case returned to a lower court, then again and again... There are congregations that cannot enter their temple, even with all the court decisions, because there is no proper support. If all just court decisions are implemented, the situation will improve and there will be the next wave of transitions," dreams Epifaniy Dumenko.
Earlier, Dumenko has stated that the OCU "almost 100%" wins the courts for the transfer of communities.
