On March 14, 2025, Metropolitan Victor of Khmelnytskyi and Starokostiantyniv celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at the Parish of the Carpatho-Rus Saints of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia in Prague. This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy of the UOC.

Metropolitan Viktor was concelebrated by the rector of the Czech parish, Archpriest Dimitrij Krivanič, clergy of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

The service was attended by numerous Ukrainians who had been compelled to relocate to the Czech Republic as a result of the Russian invasion.

During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Victor offered a kneeling prayer for peace in Ukraine.

"After the Liturgy, the hierarch delivered a sermon dedicated to Great Lent, offered sincere spiritual support to the Ukrainian faithful attending the service, and conveyed the blessings of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church," the statement reads.

After the service, Metropolitan Victor engaged with Orthodox Ukrainians in an informal setting, discussing spiritual and other significant existential issues.

It is noted that Metropolitan Victor arrived in the OCCzLS's jurisdiction to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of Archbishop Michael of Prague and the Czech Lands. His visit began on March 13, 2025, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry and at the invitation of Archbishop Michael.

As the UOJ previously reported, Dumenko and Czech diplomats discussed ways to "support" OCU refugees from Ukraine. Meanwhile, SBU head Vasyl Maliuk claimed that the European Union had imposed certain sanctions against the UOC, allegedly at the initiative of the Czech Republic.
