April 6, 2025 – On the 5th Sunday of Great Lent, a monastic tonsure was performed at the Horodnytsia Stauropegial Convent of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God “Soothe My Sorrows,” according to the nunnery's press service.
The tonsure was officiated by Archbishop Oleksandr of Horodnytsia, Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis.
Following the service, Archbishop Oleksandr congratulated the newly tonsured nun and wished her God's help in her future service to the Holy Church.
