On April 30, 2023, the feast day of Saint Hierotheus, Bishop of Ostroh, a festive Divine Liturgy was held at the Holy Trinity Derman Convent. The press service of the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC reported the event.
The service was led by Archbishop Oleksandr of Horodnytsia and Archbishop Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh, with concelebrating clergy from the Rivne, Volyn, Vinnytsia, Kamianets-Podilskyi, and Ovruch eparchies.
During the Liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, for deliverance from the enemy, for the preservation of the Ukrainian people, for comfort for those who have lost their homes, and for blessings upon those of goodwill who support the suffering.
The joint prayer was attended by the abbess of the monastery, Mother Veronica (Zoshchuk), along with the sisters of the convent, as well as the abbesses of the Bilev, Korets, and Hoshcha women’s monasteries.
Many pilgrims gathered for the celebration to honor Saint Hierotheus, the heavenly protector of the Ostroh region.
The liturgical hymns were solemnly performed by the choir of the sisters from the Horodok women’s monastery, adding a deep spirit of prayer to the feast.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that on September 11, 2022, Saint Hierotheus (Lobachevskyi) was glorified at the Holy Trinity Derman Monastery in Volyn.
