On February 3, 2022, at a meeting with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Aleksey Danilov, the head of the OCU Epifaniy Dumenko tried to convince him that the OCU is the spiritual foundation of Ukrainians, the OCU website reports.

As stated in the message on the OCU website, for his part, Epifaniy Dumenko “assured Aleksey Danilov that the Orthodox Church of Ukraine would continue to be a reliable support of the Ukrainian state and the spiritual foundation of our people.”

The head of the National Security and Defense Council congratulated Dumenko on the third anniversary of "enthronement" of the OCU leader and his birthday.
